Bethel Live - For the Sake of the World

Bethel Live released its all-new, full-length CD/DVD, For The Sake Of The World, earlier this month from Bethel Music with global distribution through Integrity Music. Recorded live at Bethel Church (Redding, CA), the project is receiving wide critical acclaim as it delivers inspiring new worship songs led by Brian and Jenn Johnson, Jeremy Riddle, William Matthews and Steffany Frizzell-Gretzinger.

For The Sake Of The World is the heart cry, and a declaration, by the Bethel Music artists widely known for their passionate, intimate worship. Merging organic, authentic rhythms with driving electric sounds, Bethel Music pushes the musical boundaries of corporate worship and invites the listener to experience fresh encounters with God.

Offering a glimpse into the new recording, Bethel Live released a video of the title track (see above) and here is how the critics are already responding to the new album:

“For The Sake Of The World – a sonically and lyrically refreshing work…incredible vocals, stellar guitar playing and the amazing audience participation…created with excellence in mind and combines anointed worship and quality production to create a truly epic album…This is what a live recording is all about.” – NewReleaseTuesday.com

“…Bethel Live has abolished the notion that corporate worship should be anachronously subdued and idolatrously boring. Rather, they have made worship music three-dimensional where God is not just sung about but He is experienced. Eschewing religious dogma and trite clich├ęs, they have utilized affable everyman spirituality, engaging melodies, and cutting edge pop production that rock our socks off with the goodness of God. They are so infectious that these songs make you want to sing-a-long regardless of whether you are a Christian or not.” – Breathecast.com

“With such depth of lyrics written for the church to sing, memorable melodies and talented musicians, For The Sake Of The World is an album you will definitely want to add to your collection for both personal and corporate worship.” –AllAboutWorship.com

“You can't help but want to join in the worship…a truly epic album…get this album, worship God, and then go out and change the world.” – LouderThanTheMusic.com (5-Star Review)

“…Bethel Live are back recording at their best; and through this sublime and professional recording, For The Sake Of The World is one of the best worship albums this year.” – ChristianMusicZine.com

In addition to the 13-track For The Sake Of The World CD, the combination “digipak” product features a DVD that contains all 13 songs plus “The Arts,” “Community,” “Culture,” “Presence” and “The World” behind-the-scenes videos.

For the first time, Bethel Music also releases an iTunes LP®. The For The Sake Of The World LP features all 13 audio and video tracks on the CD and DVD, all five behind-the-scenes videos, plus 11 song charts, a Photo Gallery, Album Credits, social media links for Bethel artists and the Worship U Video featuring information on the Online Bethel School of Worship.

Produced by Brian Johnson, Ian McIntosh and Jeffrey Kunde, For The Sake Of The World also features Chris Quilala (Jesus Culture) on drums; Brian Johnson and Kunde on Acoustic Guitar; Mike Pope and Kunde on Electric Guitar; Brandon Aaronson and Mackenzie on bass; McIntosh on Keys; and additional percussion, violin, cello, lap steel and background vocalists.
